1. Is the bamboo housing mold-resistant?

The Birdfy bamboo housing is double-carbonized and sealed to enhance weather resistance. Lab tests confirm that the treated bamboo achieves the highest level of mold resistance (with a fungi growth rating of 0). However, with prolonged exposure to complex outdoor environments, it is normal for slight mildew or signs of aging to develop on the surface.

2. What are the upgrades compared to the Birdfy Feeder Bamboo A?

The primary upgrade to this model is the dual-lens camera. With two lenses instead of one, you get wide-angle videos and super-detailed bird photos captured separately.

3. What's the difference between the two lenses?

The one on the bottom is a 3MP lens with 2K resolution that can rotate and track movements. The top one is a 2MP lens with 1080P resolution featuring a wide-angle, fixed view, similar to the camera of Birdfy Feeder, where the frame remains static.

4. How does the new "Portrait Lens" work?

When the wide-angle lens detects motion, the new portrait lens automatically tracks the target and records a bird-focused square-shaped video. From this recording, built-in AI selects the best moments and saves them as high-quality photos, delivering the best of both video and still photography.

5. What will I receive through my Birdfy app?

When AI Bird Recognition is activated, the A Pro will send a wide-angle video, a portrait video, and a few photos (in either format) whenever birds are recognized in the recorded content. If no birds are recognized, you will only receive the two videos. The portrait lens also features a high frame rate mode, recording at 100 fps with slightly reduced video quality. These high frame rate clips can be edited into slow-motion videos directly in the app.

6. How do I watch birds on my phone?

Once your Birdfy Feeder Bamboo A Pro is paired with your phone, you can watch the bird buffet right away! The Birdfy app is free to download and offers live streaming, auto-recorded clips, instant alerts, and even monthly visitor recaps - all for free!

7. Can more than one person connect to one Birdfy Feeder Bamboo A Pro?

Yes. In the Birdfy app, you can share your feeder with an unlimited number of accounts. Simply follow the app's instructions: My Devices > Settings > How to Share. Shared guests will have access to the live feed and recorded clips. But they will not be able to alter any settings or delete your videos.

8. Does the Birdfy Feeder Bamboo A Pro have cloud storage?

Absolutely! The Birdfy Feeder Bamboo A Pro comes with unlimited cloud storage, with a 30-day retention period. Videos recorded over 30 days ago will be deleted. So be sure to download your favorites or save them permanently to your collection.

9. Does the Birdfy Feeder Bamboo A Pro support MicroSD card storage or playback?

No. Birdfy Feeder Bamboo A Pro does NOT support MicroSD card storage or playback.

There are three types of cloud services available for the Birdfy Feeder Bamboo A Pro:

AI Bird Recognition - Identifies bird species and generates daily feeder highlights.
Collection Storage - Expands storage space for clips you want to keep permanently in the cloud.
Moment Video Recording - Extends the length of auto-recorded clips.

11. What is the difference between "AI Lifetime Free" and "AI by Subscription"?

The Birdfy app offers a cloud service called AI Bird Recognition, which can identify bird species and generate fun daily highlight reports of your bird visitors.

If you purchase the AI Lifetime Free version, you’re all set - no activation or extra payments needed. It’s the best value out there, with everything included by default!

If you choose the AI by Subscription version, you’ll get a 7-day free trial of the service. If you enjoy it, you can subscribe monthly, annually, or make a one-time payment to keep the magic going.
