Assemble, Fill and Install Your Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo

1. Attach the perch by inserting both ends into the base.
2. Remove the nectar bottle from the feeder base by twisting it off.
3. Pour the nectar into the bottle. (For nectar recipe, see Hummingbird Feeder Tips)
4. Securely reattach the bottle to the feeder base.
5. Hang the feeder using the provided S hook on a bird feeder stand or any preferred location.

Install the Ant Moat for Solar Panel

1. Pass the solar panel cable through the hole in the center of the ant moat.
2. Attach the silicone plug to the cable underneath the ant moat. Push the plug upwards until it fits snugly into the hole at the bottom of the ant moat.
3. Connect the solar panel cable to the feeder body.
4. Adjust the ant moat so that it is level with the ground.
5. Pour water into the ant moat to create a barrier that prevents ants from crawling along the cable.

Disassemble and Clean Your Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo

Disassembly

1. Twist the reservoir in an anti-clockwise direction and lift it up to detach and remove it.
2. Rotate the knob in an anti-clockwise direction to detach the base. Then, remove the silicone seal from the nectar chamber.
3. Pinch the bottom of the feeding ports from the inside and pull them out to remove them.
4. Pinch the larger end of the perch slightly from the inside and pull it out to remove it.

Cleaning

1. Take off the spout cover and clean the inside of the reservoir using a brush and water.
2. Clean the base, including the nectar chamber, using a brush and water.
3. Remove the feeding ports and use the provided mini brush to clean the interior of the ports.

Reassemble Your Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo

1. Attach the perch by inserting both ends into the base.
2. Attach the feeding ports to their designated locations.
3. Replace the silicone cover. Next, align the marks at the bottom and rotate the knob to re-install the base.
4. Attach the spout cover to the reservoir, then insert the reservoir into the base. Rotate it clockwise to secure it in place.

Mount Your Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo on a Wall

1. Please note that in order to mount your Hum Duo on a wall, you need to purchase the Birdfy Hum Mounting Kit separately.
2. Use the provided drill template to mark the locations of the holes, then use an electric drill (15/64", 6mm) to drill four holes.
3. Install the hanging bracket on the wall using the screws.
4. Attach the mounting bracket to the feeder using the provided screws.
5. Hang the feeder onto the hanging bracket.

Mount Your Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo on a Pole

1. Please note that in order to mount your Hum Duo on a pole, you need to purchase the Birdfy Hum Mounting Kit separately.
2. Loosen the hose clips, then slide them through the slots of the hanging bracket.
3. Align the bracket with the pole and secure it to the pole by tightening the hose clips.
4. Attach the mounting bracket to the feeder using the provided screws.
5. Hang the feeder onto the hanging bracket.

Mount Your Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo on a Tree

1. Please note that in order to mount your Hum Duo on a tree, you need to purchase the Birdfy Hum Mounting Kit separately.
2. Wrap the strap around a tree trunk. Fasten it by threading the end of the strap through the buckle.
3. Make sure the lever on the buckle is facing upwards and that the strap goes through the buckle from the bottom to the top.
4. Attach the mounting bracket to the feeder using the provided screws.
5. Hang the feeder onto the hanging bracket.
